The Lois Level* is the story of one woman's lifelong quest into the world people have created with words. It is for people who are fascinated by exploring the world through stories, ideas, art, & artifacts.

Democracy is founded on free access to ideas and education, so we focus on resources that are free or very reasonably priced and tell you how to access them too.

All the books & media we feature are obtained through regular public library cards or are in the public domain (legally free to download).
